Our Services
All Services
BOARDING | We provide overnight care for cats in our kennel facility. Pets are part of the family– we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified veterinary assistants do the same when you can't be there. We provide tender loving care to keep them happy and active. When your kitties are visiting with us you can relax and have fun,or take care of business without worry. To make a reservation for your feline friend, please call in advance. |
DENTAL CARE Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasonic and hand-scaling to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Advanced dental care is available here in Ann Arbor through Dr. Colmery (http://vetdentistry.com) , a boarded veterinary dentist. |
FULLY STOCKED PHARMACY | We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field. In addition we work with excellent compounding pharmacies to provide solutions, such as tasty liquid formulations and ear gels, for difficult-to-medicate pets. |
HOSPICE/EUTHANASIA SERVICES | Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client. |
IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness care has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness recommendations are designed specifically for your pet and include: comprehensive physical exam, intestinal parasite testing, heartworm testing and disease control, flea control, an individualized vaccination program, spay/neuter surgery; and specialized blood tests for all life stages. |
INTERNAL MEDICINE | Our doctors are skilled in all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology; Ophthalmology; Neurology; Dermatology; Gastroenterology; Oncology; Endocrinology; and others. In addition we work closely with boarded veterinary specialists in each of these areas in order to provide the highest level of care for your pet. |
LASER SURGERY Lasers are an alternative to traditional surgery. Lasers replace scalpels in many procedures, and are useful for a wide range of conditions, such as cyst, tumor, and wart removal. Lasers are very effective for the declawing procedure. Because the laser seals blood vessels and nerves, laser procedures result in less pain, less bleeding, and less swelling. They reduce risk of infection and result in less post-operative discomfort. |
MICROCHIPPING | Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery. Microchip placement involves a simple injection procedure which can be done while your pet is anesthetized for another procedure or when he comes in for a routine examination. |
NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING | Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained and certified staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active. In addition, all of our diets are fully guaranteed by their manufacturers. This means that if you open the bag and he doesn't like it, you can still get a full refund. |
PAIN MANAGEMENT | Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. |
RADIOLOGY Radiographs – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. We have in-house development so that results may be available immediately. We work closely with a board-certified veterinary radiologist who is available for consultation so that our patients can receive the best possible care. |
SURGERY | We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: board certified surgeon available for consultation and special procedures; fully trained veterinary and technical staff, to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; circulating water heating pads for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques; ECG, temperature, respiration and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive after surgery care and full blood testing available through our in-house laboratory. |
